HOW TO USE THE CoS NCS HELPDESK
(For CoS Faculty and Staff Only)

To LOGIN

 

1.      You must login to the CoS NCS Helpdesk to SUBMIT, VIEW, or UPDATE a problem/request or to EDIT your online profile. To login, enter the first letter of your first name and your last name then click Logon. For example, if your name is Alpha Beta, then your login name is abeta (all lower cases.)

 

 

Note: If you cannot login to the Helpdesk after a few tries, then your account may not be in the CoS Online Directory. Please submit a new account request form from the NCS website  Your department technical staff will contact you shortly to verify the information and to create accounts for you, usually within 1-2 business days.

 


To SUBMIT a new technical problem/request

 

1.      Login to the Helpdesk

2.      Click on Submit New Problem

 

 

3.      Fill in all the required fields then click Submit Problem

 

 


4.      After the problem was submitted, you will see a confirmation

 


To VIEW a submitted technical problem/request for status and information

 

1.      Login to the Helpdesk

2.      Click on View Problem List

 

 

3.      Click on the problem that you want to view for more detailed information.

 

 


To UPDATE a submitted technical problem/request

 

1.      If the problem doesn’t have a CLOSED status, while viewing the problem detailed information, you can type more information into the Enter Additional Notes box then click Update Problem to update the problem/request.

 

 

 


To CHANGE your password or profile information (Homepage Address, Class and Office Hours, and Biography)

 

1.      From the main menu, click on Edit Information

 

 

2.      You will be prompted to enter your password. If you do not know your password, click on Email My Password to send a temporary password to your email account on CoS Online Directory

 

 


3.      Click on Edit Information/Password/Upload Image

 

 

4.      After made changes to your profile, click Save to save your information.

 

 

 

Note: For data accuracy and consistency, if you want to change the following information on your profile: Name, Job Title, Department, Office Location, Office Phone and Email Address, please contact your department office or making a request for change here
